Wind down music for stressful days

There are hundreds of ways to wind down after a stressful day, and music is one of my favourites. There’s never a mood, in my opinion, that a song cannot connect to, and the need to destress for a while is no exception to this. So, here’s a few artists that, in my opinion, have sounds made for relaxation.
Mayday Parade
These guys have made their name releasing slow, melodic music. Be warned, however, their music is also some of the saddest I have ever heard.
The Chainsmokers
There are two songs, in particular, to mention here: “New York City” and “Inside Out” both have easy to listen to, melodic beats that you could easily drift off to.
Asgeir
Almost every song I’ve heard from Asgeir would be perfect to have on in the background of a meditation or yoga session. That’s the only way to describe it. So pick an album, any album, and relax.
Arctic Monkeys
There’s not much of an introduction I can give to Arctic Monkeys, their popularity in the last few years speaks for its self. I will say this though, they should have a place on any relaxation playlist.
Sufjan Stevens
Visions Of Gideon by Sufjan Stevens is yet another sad song (I’m sorry) but this tune like so many others is perfect for taking your mind off the stresses of the day.
Dylan Francis
If you’re going to check out Dylan Francis, the instrumentals for ‘Equal’ are definitely a must-listen. There are no vocals to this tune, but that doesn’t stop it being one of the best around to relax.
As It Is: Acoustic Tracks
As It Is may not be known for calming music, I know, but their acoustic releases are definitely worthy of a listen when you’re trying to relax.
The Cab
If you’re looking for a far more uplifting song, check out The Cab’s tune Endlessly; it’s everything you need when it comes to soppy love songs that will still put you in a great mood.
Post Malone
Post Malone’s I Fall Apart is so popular right now I find it hard to believe anyone hasn’t heard this track. But if you haven’t, it’s a definite recommend from me.
James Bay
James Bay’s acoustic releases are just about the most mellow tunes I have ever heard. Just like Mayday Parade, though, you won’t be overcome with joyful melodies when turning to this artist.
There are hundreds of artists out there, and I have only named a few. You can check out hundreds of playlists of mindful tunes on either youtube or Spotify. You’re bound to find something that you love.
