Festive Drinks For Autumn

Not sure how to start celebrating autumn? Read this article to see where you can find all the best seasonal drinks in the cafes of Lincoln!

Now we’re in October, the season of autumn is really starting to get into full swing, and one fun way to embrace this season to the fullest is by trying all the autumnal beverages you can get your hands on! Here’s my comprehensive list of the top autumnal drinks on offer right now, and where in Lincoln you can find them!

Places & Drinks

Coffee Depot

Though we have many bigger brands of coffee shops here in Lincoln, which I will get into in this article, I wanted to start with a place which, I think, is the best independent coffee shop in Lincoln. Located on Carholme Road, just on the corner of Depot Street, Coffee Depot not only has a great general range of coffees, teas, milkshakes, plus sweet and savoury food, but they also create impressive seasonal drinks! Here’s the list of the colossal range you can find with them right now!

  • Popcorn hot chocolate with whipped cream & sweet + salty popcorn on top
  • Pistachio white hot chocolate.
  • Ginger lemonade.
  • Sticky toffee pudding shake with whipped cream & toffee sauce.
  • Cinnamon cereal milkshake with whipped cream on top.
  • Sea salted maple oat flat white.
  • Beetroot & vanilla latte.

Also, in addition to their regular selection, they’ve added the seasonal syrups of pumpkin spice, orange, gingerbread and popcorn to their menu! So pop on over and find your favourite, support a fabulous local business, and you can also find them on Instagram at @coffeedepot.lincoln

Costa Coffee

Costa is known for having different specials according to the seasons, and this autumn is no different! In Lincoln we have three Costa Coffee shops, one on the High Street, one in our ODEON cinema on the Brayford, and the third sits in the Valentine Retail park next to Dreams, the bedroom furniture store. With that many outlets to take advantage of, you should definitely pop in and try something from their autumnal Maple Hazel range:

  • Maple Hazel Hot Chocolate
  • Maple Hazel Latte
  • Maple Hazel Iced Latte

So head on down give the range a try, and let us know what you think!

Starbucks

Our two main Starbucks outlets in Lincoln lie on the High Street, and in the Tritton Retail Park right next to Smyths Toys Superstores – though if you’re a little bit out of the city centre, there’s also one at the top of Nettleham Road! Starbucks are well known for popularising the famous, festive Pumpkin Spice flavour in their autumn drinks, and this year is no different! Here’s their range:

  • Pumpkin Spice Latte
  • Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew
  • Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino
  • Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte

Let us know what you think of these autumn classics which have captured the world with the iconic pumpkin spice flavour!

Gregg’s

If Gregg’s is going to be your preference this autumn then you’re spoilt for choice here in Lincoln. With three locations, two on our main High Street and one on Bailgate in our Cathedral Quarter, there’s no reason not to pop in and try one of the festive drinks they have to offer! This autumn they have:

  • Pumpkin Spice Latte
  • Iced Pumpkin Latte
  • Hazelnut Mocha
  • Hazelnut Hot Chocolate

If you head down to Gregg’s for your festive beverages this autumn do let us know, and tell us what your favourite is!

We at Student Life wish you all a happy, cosy autumn, and if you do end up trying the drinks from any of these great places then tag us on any of our social media at @uolstudentlife because we’d love to hear what your favourites are!
