Hi there! I'm Rachel, a postgrad student studying Clinical Animal Behaviour from London. I'm a big 80s music fan, and have a secret love for Marvel movies.
There’s lots to do in Lincoln, we’ve gathered our top picks for you to explore!
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, this is something you won’t want to miss (Christmas Market) – Simone
“Lincoln is famous for its Christmas market, every year it attracts people from all over the country, it is one of the largest Christmas markets in Europe. Here you can find rides, as well as stalls full of craft and food, a nice winter activity.”
A new coffee house has opened up called ‘Escobarks’ – a dog cafe – Rachel
“Theres “Freddie – an incredibly anxious dog, Stanley the three-legged pug, Pablo the cafe’s CEO, Polly who frequently plays tug of war, and Yoda the mediator when it comes to playing.”
There are a few different museums dotted around Lincoln – George
“If you wish to examine the cultural history of Lincolnshire through the different ages visit the Museum of Lincolnshire Life. Just a 10-minute walk from Lincoln Castle the Victorian Barracks, the museum houses a collection of agricultural, domestic, industrial and commercial artefacts.”
Budgets are tight as a student, cheap activities are brilliant for students – Jess
“When exploring uphill Lincoln, along with being able to walk inside the castle grounds for free you can also pay to walk the castle walls. As a student, you can get a concession ticket for £9 which gives you access to walk around the castle walls at your own pace. In doing so, you get great panoramic views of Lincoln and it’s also a great photo spot. If you’ve never done it before, it’s definitely one to tick off the bucket list while you’re still in Lincoln.”
