For Animal Lovers: Coffee Cats
Explore uphill Lincoln by taking a trip to Coffee Cats! Filled with many adorable kitties, they also sell a variety of refreshments and snacks. This is a great idea if you or your friends are missing your pets while at university. It can be very entertaining when they want to play, but it’s also a lovely place to sit and relax while having some coffee for an hour when they’re asleep.
You can have a group of up to six friends, making it a perfect place for a date with your mates. Although they’re not open on Valentine’s Day, they are open around the holiday.

If you want to blow off some steam with your friends this Valentine’s, Playing Aloud is a fantastic music rehearsal studio located near North Hykeham. It’s a perfect place to practice and write music while spending time with your friends. You can book a rehearsal room for up to 4 hours, and loan instruments like guitars and keyboards from £1 per hour.
Even if you don’t have much experience with music, the environment there is non-judgemental, and all the staff are lovely and willing to help if you need it.

If you want to spend some time gaming this Valentine’s Day, I’d highly recommend the arcade warehouse on Dixon Street. It’s only a short walk from the campus area, and in the centre of Lincoln, making it easily accessible!
You get two hours to spend wandering around the various arcade machines, or maybe using their gaming computers and consoles, they even have a pool table if you want to challenge your friends.
