Lincoln is a brilliant city and has plenty to offer for all ages with a wide range of locations that you can visit if that’s with your friends, family or just by yourself.

Here is a list of the top 5 best locations to visit and explore in Lincoln.

1. The Cathedral

The Cathedral is one of the main focus points that puts the city of Lincoln on the map. Its overall construction was started in 1072 by Bishop Remigius and is still standing strong today. The Cathedral has plenty of history and stories behind it which will enlighten and entertain anyone who visits. Plus, if you take your student card you can gain free entry.

2. The Castle

The Castle is located next to the Lincoln Cathedral up the well-known and famous Steep Hill in the old quarter of the city. The Castle was constructed in 1068 by William the Conqueror and has witnessed and hosted some of the most important events in English history. The castle also retains one of the last four remaining copies of the Magna Carta, which was signed in 1215 at Runnymede, Surrey by King John which can be still viewed today.

3. LNER Stadium (Lincoln City FC)

For the lovers of the beautiful game, Lincoln has a very exciting team which has been evolving for the past couple of years. Lincoln City rose back up the football ladder when the Imps reached the quarter final of the FA Cup, where they faced Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in 2017. This campaign led them to multiple achievements like working their way up the league tables, where they now sit in League One and winning the Checkatrade trophy in 2018. We now start another new chapter with our new Manager Michael Appleton after the departure of the Cowley brothers. This is a team that you can truly get behind and experience the local community, and have a great day out.

4. Jump Inc.

If you have a lot of energy or maybe you’re just seeking some fun and a thrill, Jump is the place for you! Jump is an indoor trampolining and inflatable park for all ages. It’s a great activity to do in Lincoln to have some fun, and just generally keep fit and spend time with family and friends.
