Since downloading the Student Life app, it has pretty much become a part of my daily routine! Shocker… a tech-savvy, Gen-Z student being addicted to an app on her phone?!
Some apps have received a bad reputation for being branded as “toxic” or “rotting your brain” (don’t get me wrong, I’m still addicted to them too) but the Student Life app is entirely different. But let me explain why this app is actually good for your mental wellbeing.
The Student Life app encourages you to keep a mood diary – asking how you’re feeling, and why you’re feeling that way. So whether you’re feeling sad, scared, excited, or joyful, you can keep a track of what caused that emotion. I think it’s a fantastic idea, because you might start to recognise patterns, and you can change your behaviour accordingly. For example, I was often scared that I wasn’t going to get my dissertation work finished on time. I recognised this, and I changed my schedule to allow myself more time to work on it every day; I’m feeling much more confident now!
I’m not the only one who loves this feature! Student Life Content Creator, Owen said: “It’s so important to keep on top of your mood, and when things get busy at uni sometimes this can be very hard to do.”
Not only this, but you can read our latest blog posts, take part in challenges, listen to podcasts, and find out where to access support if you need it. It truly is a one-stop shop for all student related info!
You can download the app from the Apple App Store here or from the Google Play Store here!
I’d love to know how you get on with using the app, so please leave any feedback in the comments. Have a wonderful day!
