Pancake day recipes

It’s Pancake Day! Do you feel brave enough to make your own instead of using a ready-mix? If you do, here are a few recipes that are super easy and cheap to make.

Easy Pancakes:

100g plain flour

2 large eggs

300ml milk

1 tbsp sunflower or vegetable oil, plus a little extra for frying

This is the simplest recipe and the easy to find ingredients to buy at the last minute or at least might have most of them in your cupboard –  find the full recipe here!

 

Chocolate Pancakes:

100g plain flour

30g good quality cocoa

2 large eggs

300ml  milk

50g caster sugar

½tsp baking powder

pinch of salt

30g butter, melted

If you fancy something a bit different and like chocolate, this is the perfect pancake for you.  Check out the full recipe here!

American Pancakes:

1 cup of milk

1 large egg

2 tbsp melted butter or vegetable oil

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tsp baking powder

2 tbsp sugar

1 pinch of salt

So fluffy and very nice with Maple Syrup or fruit. Check out the full recipe here. One cup is approx – 236ml.

Vegan Pancakes:

1 smooched banana

125g plain flour

100ml soya milk

2 tablespoons oil

This one is perfect for vegetarians or vegans and a yummy alternative.  Find the full recipe here.

 

However you like your pancakes, remember to flip them! Just don’t get them stuck on the ceiling like a certain someone did one year. (Definitely not me, I don’t know what you’re talking about.)
